Studio455 opened in 1998 with a small staff of six and has grown into a talented team of 31. The salon continues to grow year after year. Jeannie and Debi, co-owners of Studio455, feel this growth is due mostly to their philosophy of growing team members from within their company through a hands-on approach.
Our advanced training program for future stylists begins early on to ensure stylists develop the proper techniques and form artistically and professionally. With Jean & Debi still working with clientele 90% of the time, they have the ability to coach and develop the staff on a daily basis.
Studio455 employees receive continued education through industry leaders such as Bumble and Bumble, Redken and Carmine & Beth Minardi in New York City and Goldwell in Baltimore. Monthly workshops are held to ensure a cohesive approach to all customer needs.
Although each of our hair designers is unique, there is a common "Studio" approach to hair design which reflects the latest techniques and trends. This approach allows Studio colorists to lead the industry in color design and correction, and it makes our stylists some of the most sought-after hair designers in the area. The combination of senior stylists with years of experience and junior stylists with urban edge make for the perfect collaboration of minds to fulfill our clients' needs.
Apprenticeship has been the backbone of our company for 20 years. Every Stylist and colorist bechind a studio 455 chair has completed our rigorous advanced apprenticeship before reaching the floor.
